Jackie Zito (View Bio)

BBA from Western Michigan University. Performs as classical mandolinist and guitarist. Studied music theory and composition with Lawrence Rackley Smith. Member of Duo Zito-Kusik and Third Coast Guitar Ensemble. Co-founder of the Kalamazoo Mandolin and Guitar Orchestra. Editor of the Mandolin Journal, official publication of the Classical Mandolin Society of America.

Growing up in a family of professional musicians, Micaela has played music since the age of five. Now at 24, she has performed at hundreds of venues through out the region, worked as a studio musician, and taught guitar for over 5 years. She has an Associates degree in Liberal Arts/Music and is working on a music therapy degree.

Adam Main (View Bio)

Adam has been playing guitar for more than 20 years. He has performed in local rock bands The Brewers and Pound & Beers. As a bassist he played in the Civic Theater's production of Avenue Q and Willy Wonka. A natural teacher, he continues to add pages to his guitar instructional book.

Aaron Cassette (View Bio)

Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Western Michigan University. For the past 25 years, Aaron has worked extensively as a pianist, accompanist, musical director and music educator. He has been the musical director for several Kalamazoo area theaters, including The Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, The New Vic Theatre, WMU Department of Theater, Portage Public Schools, and the Barn Theater (Equity Summer stock). Gabriel Renteria - Oboe (View Bio)

Gabriel Renteria started as Principal Oboe of the Kalamazoo Symphony and oboist of the Kalamazoo Symphony Woodwind Quintet in January 2007.  He received his Masters of Music degree from the University of Washington where he was also winner of their Concerto Competition.  He completed his undergraduate degree from Oberlin Conservatory.  Mr. Renteria has played with the Seattle Symphony, the National Repertory Orchestra and the National Orchestra Institute.

Cathi Smits (View Bio)

In addition, she has also taught private lessons in piano, guitar and voice; taught preschool through 5th grade; directed vocal ensembles; and plays several instruments.
