Laura Betinis Healy, mezzo-soprano and Music Together® teacher, has performed with chamber and choral ensembles throughout the Northeast and Midwest. As an active soloist in the Boston area, she has been featured with the Oriana Consort, King’s Chapel Choir, and Cappella Clausura, with whom she recorded The Complete Vespers of Cozzolani, and appeared as Anima (“the soul”) in the staged Hildegard von Bingen opera Ordo Virtutum. Laura has premiered her sister Abbie Betinis’s annual new Christmas carol on Minnesota Public Radio for the past 4 years. In 2016, Laura appeared on the Minnesota Orchestra’s Inside the Classics program, and in 2019 she performed with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra as a member of Audivi. Laura holds a BA in English and Music from Ithaca College. She lives in Portage with her husband Anthony Healy, pianist and fellow teacher with Crescendo Academy, and their 2 year old daughter, whose favorite song is currently Baby Beluga.
