Aveline Schienke
Aveline Schienke is a Michigan violinist and educator with 15 years of experience in solo, orchestral, and chamber music. She earned her Bachelor of Music in Performance from Grand Valley State University and is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Violin Performance at Western Michigan University, where she studies with Dr. Sophie Tang. Aveline is a violinist with the Holland Symphony Orchestra and has held leadership positions including Co-Concertmaster of the GVSU Symphony Orchestra and Principal Violinist of the GVSU Chamber Orchestra. Her performance experience includes festivals such as the Decoda Chamber Music Festival, Vilacello String and Piano Festival, and Vivace International Music Festival, as well as performances throughout Michigan with her piano trio, The Blue Bridge Trio.
Aveline is passionate about sharing her knowledge and love of the violin with students of all ages and experience levels. She has taught private violin lessons since high school and has worked with students in both individual and group settings through the Jenison Academy of Music and the West Michigan Symphony’s Tune Up Program. Her teaching focuses on developing strong technique, musicality, confidence, and a genuine enjoyment of playing. Whether a student is just beginning, preparing for an audition or performance, or looking to further develop their skills, Aveline strives to meet each student where they are and help them reach their goals.
Beyond performing and teaching, Aveline is dedicated to creating meaningful connections through music. She is the founder and host of Tutti Talks, a podcast featuring musicians and their stories from the world of classical music. She has also performed extensively through community engagement programs for schools, senior centers, hospitals, and other organizations. Through her work as a performer, teacher, and advocate for music, Aveline hopes to inspire students to become confident, expressive musicians while sharing the same passion for musicthat has shaped her own journey.
