Epic Broadway! is a collaboration between Crescendo Academy of Music and Wellspring/Cori Terry & Dancers.
Join us for a week of online specialized training and education in Vocal Music Theater!
Work with college faculty who have spent decades teaching and coaching young singers in vocal technique and acting specifically for the musical stage.
This unique online training experience will include:
Each camper will participate in:
Daily 45-minute group Acting class
Daily 30-minute individual Voice Lesson
Daily 45-minute group Music Theater History class
Daily 45-minute group lunch
Live Online Concert via Zoom
2020 camp runs August 3-7 for students age 13-18
Camp activities will take place between 11 am and 5 pm each day, with each student having a slightly different schedule based on times assigned for private lessons. All students will be called for camp activities from 11 am – 2 pm each day, with a break for lunch or social time. Private lessons and small group work will be scheduled between 2 pm and 5 pm. Prior to the start of the week, each camper will choose a music theater song that fits the camp’s theme (Musicals of the 1970s). Monday’s schedule will start at 10:00 am for an Orientation Session. The week will culminate in a group online Live Concert for sharing with family and friends that will begin at 7 PM on Friday, August 7.

With Music Together Online, music class comes to you! Every week for six weeks, Crescendo Academy’s Music Together specialists will lead your whole family in fun music activities using songs from the Kazoo Song Collection for younger kids or the Tree Frog collection for Rhythm Kid.
Crescendo Chamber Ensembles are for students of all instruments including voice interested in exploring chamber music repertoire. Placement in a group is based on playing level and age. Groups include duos, trios, quartets, quintets and more. Rehearsals culminate in an August recital. Ensemble coaches include, Mark Portolese (violin/piano), Luke Cook (cello), Silvia Sidorane McClish (cello), Audrey Lipsey(violin), Jesse Williams (clarinet), and Gabriel Renteria-Elyea (oboe).

Director Joanna Steinhauser teaches folk fiddle music from various cultures, including Celtic, American, Canadian, Scandinavian, and Chinese styles. In addition to weekly classes, the Crescendo Fiddlers perform throughout the summer at regional folk music festivals, community events and farmers’ markets. Membership is open to violin, viola, and cello players of all ages who have played for at least three years
Crescendo Fiddlers meet from June 24th – August 19th
Mondays from 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm
Cost for the summer session (June-August) is $200 (includes t-shirt and music binder).
A $15 drop-in fee is charged for each Fiddler Club meeting (September-May).
Crescendo Community Voices participants experience singing, chanting, drumming and an introduction to Orff Schulwerk which stresses making music in a non-competitive atmosphere. CCV is for teens and adults with special needs and the people who care for and love them.
