Corlis Watkins

Community Voices

Corlis Watkins-Nass is a native of Muskegon, Michigan, and grew up singing in her local church choir. During this time, she fell in love with music and directing. Attending Western Michigan University helped her hone her skills as a singer. She can be heard as a soloist on WMU’s Gospel Choir “Anchored in the Lord” album. She has also recorded with Myron Cobbs and A New Song as well as Curtis Gulledge and Friends. Watkins has conducted music workshops and trained worship teams and choirs throughout Southwest Michigan.

In addition to teaching Community Voices, she is the Choral Director for Kalamazoo RESA’s Young Adult Program Choir.
