Lisa Brown
Lisa began playing cello at the age of four. In 2006, she earned a Bachelor of Music in cello performance from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford in Connecticut where her primary teacher was Steven Thomas. Lisa received a Master of Music in cello performance from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008, studying under the direction of Anne Martindale Williams.
Lisa has performed with several orchestras, including the Erie Philharmonic, Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, and the Bremerton Symphony. In 2007, she was appointed principal cello at the National Repertory Orchestra Festival in Breckinridge, Colorado.
In 2009, Lisa completed her Suzuki teacher training at the School for Strings in New York City and enjoys teaching students from the very young through those in their senior years. She moved to Michigan with her husband and three daughters in 2022.
