
Megan Laine
Megan Laine is an award-winning artist, vocalist, and educator located in Southwest Michigan. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in both Vocal Performance and Costuming from the University of Michigan; where she was the recipient of the Jean E. Fairfax scholarship. While there, she studied Opera and Classical Voice, primarily with Soprano Amanda Majeski and Tenor George Shirley. Since completing her degree, Megan has been working as an Adjunct Voice Instructor and Professor of Diction and International Phonetic Alphabet for Singers at Southwestern Michigan College.
Megan has performed as a featured soloist in concerts and festivals around the globe, having sung in Austria, Canada, Czechia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, and Vatican City. Most notably, she sang at the Brancaleoni International Music festival held in Piobbico, Italy. While she adores language, travel, and culture, Megan is happy to be in the Kalamazoo community. She has a special love of Folk, Jazz, and Musical theatre, and delights in singing to her cat.
