Shannon Scoles

Shannon Scoles earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Hillsdale College and a Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Western Michigan University. A Crescendo Teaching Artist since 2002, Shannon also teaches Applied Voice at Western Michigan University. She has previously taught Aural Skills at WMU and Kalamazoo College. Shannon also serves as the Faculty Advisor for the WMU chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity. During the summer, she is the Director of Epic Broadway Musical Theater Camp, a collaborative summer camp with Crescendo Academy of Music and Wellspring Academy.

Shannon was a NATSAA (National Association of Teachers of Singing Artist Award) winner for the state of Michigan in 2010 and has appeared as a featured vocal soloist with the Balalaika and Domra Association of America (traditional Russian orchestra). She enjoys performing and teaching classical vocal literature, musical theater, and contemporary music, and has a special interest in non-traditional collaborations with fellow musicians.
